Work and family in the era of the transitional career: Determinants of work-family conflict and its relationship to career mobility

15 nov. 2016 — M. Kovalenko - D. Mortelmans

Beschrijving

In this report, we focus on the interrelationship between family and work, connecting the problematic of work-family conflict with the issues pertinent to the debate on contemporary careers. More specifically, we explore how work-family conflict relates to career mobility, both as cause and consequence.

We consider the properties of career transitions, and their effects on transition outcomes. In addition, we explore the dynamic of work-family conflict in several specific groups: individuals with a migration background, women, those aged 50 or more, individuals without diploma higher education and single parents.
